About the Artist - Elizabeth Tener

For more than 30 years Elizabeth Tener and her husband spent summers in Albert County, N.B., which they felt was their second home. It was during their time here that Elizabeth felt inspired to begin painting seriously.

Elizabeth was an alumnus of Parsons School of Design and worked as an art needlework designer for many years. Her designs have appeared in American Home, Ladies Home Journal, and McCall’s Magazine, among others.

Elizabeth’s work has been exhibited in the Queens Museum, New York galleries, the Albert County Museum, and in art galleries in St. John, Moncton, Shediac, and Fredericton, N.B.

Elizabeth Tener paints to put the excitement she feels for nature into her artwork. Her paintings evoke a sense of peaceful harmony and capture the passion a gardener feels tending the soil and experiencing the cycle of life.
